glow in the dark boxers.
I found some cute boxers at american eagle for my brother. It had christmas lights on them, but had these awkward spaces in between the printed patterns. Then I realized that there were glow-in-the-dark letters that said, “turn me on!” hahaha.
All yesterday, only one thought kept running through my head: I HATE THE HOLIDAYS. I’m not being grinchy (eh, maybe I am), but there’s something about Christmas and New Year’s that trigger something… volatile amongst family members. No? Is it just mine? haha. And after the unfortunate series of events on Christmas Eve, I gave up. I couldn’t see Christmas anymore. So I went to bed at 9pm and slept. I woke up 5am this morning to find this:

My brother decided to be Santa this year. I quickly wrapped my own presents, labeled them from santa, and left them in the pile as well. And then I saw a card taped to my door from my parents.
SIGH.
Because I couldn’t see the family spirit during the holidays, I thought it wasn’t there (and I legit thought it wasn’t!) But when we were left in the dark, the fights, the tears, the disappointments..
the spirit showed itself and it glowed.
Yea, it’s a cheesy analogy, but it made sense to me.
Merry Christmas, everybody.
Go give your family a hug
